IRNA: Iran calls Obama's nuclear remark unrealistic

Iran on Thursday dismissed remarks by US Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on the country's controversial nuclear program, Iran's official news agency said. The IRNA report quoted the spokesman of Iran's Foreign Ministry, Mohammad Ali Hosseini, who said Obama's evaluation of Iran's program is "one-sided and unrealistic." In a speech to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) 2008 Policy Conference on Wednesday, Obama said there was no greater threat to Israel than Iran. He also accused Iran of supporting "violent extremists" and pursuing a "nuclear capability that could spark a dangerous arms race."
