A 17-year old boy was stabbed to death Saturday in a high school in the Bedouin settlement of Touba Zangaria in the Upper Galilee, near Rosh Pina. An MDA ambulance arriving at the scene attempted to evacuate the boy to the Sieff Hospital in Safed, but he died from his wounds on the scene. The stabber was known to police but he has not yet been arrested, police said. The attacker was apparently hiding from the police. Officers from the Yarden station were in the offender's village, guarding his family in case the victim's family decided to retaliate. The stabbing occurred in the schoolyard. A paramedic said he had "never seen such a [devastating] case, inside a high school's playground."
