1st time: Beduin picked to run Israeli police stn.

Police Insp.-Gen. Moshe Karadi appointed Ch.-Supt. Lutafi Falah, 43, as the first Beduin police officer to command a police station.
Falah was appointed the commander of the Nazareth Police Station in the north.
Falah, who has a degree in education, has served in the police for the past 18 years.
