2 dead in crash; bus driver may have fallen asleep

Two people were killed and two injured, one seriously, late Tuesday when an Egged bus collided with a private car on Rehov Mintz in Petah Tikva.
The bus, which was nearly empty of passengers, was heading north towards the Egged terminal when it hit a parked car.
On Wednesday morning, police said that a preliminary investigation indicated that the bus driver veered off course after falling asleep.
The car was dragged and finally crushed into a tree on the roadside. Both vehicles caught fire, Zaka reported.
