21-year-old woman brutally beaten by gang of teenage girls

A 21-year-old woman was severely beaten by a gang of girls in Holon earlier this week, police reported on Thursday. The woman was sitting on a bench in a public park with her younger sister and a friend, when a group of some 15 girls approached them with sticks and knives. The friend recognized one of the girls in the group as someone with whom she'd had a fight over the weekend, and fled. The displeased gang began brutally beating the two sisters, breaking the older one's nose and cheekbones. Police opened an investigation after the woman arrived at the city's Wolfson Hospital in moderate-to-serious condition. One of the suspects was caught on Wednesday and will be brought to the Rishon Lezion juvenile court.
