Five people were killed and six others were injured in four separate traffic accidents on Israeli roads Thursday.
Two people were killed in a head on collision that took place between Sha'ar Menashe and Ein Shemer. Four other people were injured in the accident, one seriously, another moderately and two slightly. The injured were admitted to Hillel Yafe hospital in Hadera.
As a result of the accident the vehicles were crushed and the passengers were trapped inside of them, according to the preliminary investigation. The area was blocked to traffic as a result of the accident.
A Magen David Adom medic reported that the two passengers died as a result of head and bodily injuries.
Police officers were dispatched to the hospital to collect testimony from the accident's injured passengers.
In a second Thursday traffic accident in the southern town of Rahat a three year old girl was killed. She was admitted to a local medical clinic where she died of injuries suffered in the accident.
At the entrance to the parking facilities at Ben Gurion International Airport a taxi driver was killed when he lost control of his vehicle, colliding with a wall.  MDA has reported that the man lost control of the taxi when he suffered a heart attack.  He was pronounced dead at the site of the accident.
In an earlier accident between two vehicles in Pardes Hanna a 58 year old man was killed and two others were moderately injured.  The injured were treated by MDA personnel at the site of the crash and later admitted to Hillel Yafe hospital in Hadera.
The deadly day of accidents came after six people were killed and nine were seriously injured on Israel's roads last week.
