Afula: City ordered to compensate elderly engineer

State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss ordered the Afula municipality to compensate a 60-year-old engineer who was prevented from working for the city due to his age.
The comptroller ruled that the municipality's decision was unacceptably discriminatory and went against the principle of equal opportunity for employment.
The amount of compensation will be decided by the Afula city council.
