Ahmadinejad calls Abdullah to protest Saudi participation in ME parley

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad phoned Saudi King Abdullah to express his sorrow at Saudi Arabia's planned participation in Tuesday's Annapolis conference, Israel Radio reported on Monday morning. On Sunday, Ahmadinejad said that the conference would only serve Israel's interests. "The peace conference has no benefit for the oppressed Palestinian nation. It is only for supporting the Zionists occupiers," said the Iranian president, according to the official Islamic Republic News Agency.
