A 39-year-old American settler living in the West Bank settlement of Tapuah was indicted Wednesday morning at the Haifa District Court for attempting to smuggle weapons into Israel. He claimed he had ordered the weaponry to give it to the IDF as a gift.
The man was arrested by the Shin Bet two weeks ago when he came to Haifa's port to claim a package from customs. Among the items found during a search were sniper rifles, crossbows, and a machine for making shell casings, Army Radio reported.
