'Another dry winter will bring water supplies to the red lines'

"Another dry winter will bring Israeli water supplies to the red lines; the Kinneret's level is the lowest registered in the last four years," Mekorot CEO Ronen Wolfman said in an official statement published by the company ahead of Rosh Hashana, Monday.
The water use per household in 2007 in most areas of Israel was close to an all-time high. In the first seven months of the year (January through July) there has been a rise of seven percent in Mekorot supply for residential use; the sharpest hike was in the center of the country, a rise of over 10%, the company said.
