A prematurely born baby was found buried in a public park on Rehov Einstein in Lod on Thursday.
A team of gardeners employed by the city who were doing gardening work in park found the baby.
Lod police were alerted to the scene and launched an investigation to identify the baby and determine the cause of death and the reason it was buried in a public.
