Barak says Israel may permit PA to deploy more troops in another city

If the deployment of additional Palestinian Authority security forces in Nablus succeeds in establishing order in the city, then the IDF will permit a similar deployment in another PA city, Defense Minister Ehud Barak told PA Prime Minister Salaam Fayad during a meeting in Jerusalem Monday night.
The defense minister also noted that IDF troops would continue to operate in the territories despite the increased PA security presence.
