Former Disengagement Authority head Yonathan Bassi has asked for a two year sabbatical
from his kibbutz Sde Eliahu.
In a letter he sent to the head of the kibbutz he explained that the anger and resentment some members harbor against him and his family because he worked with the government to help it execute the Gaza withdrawal in August 2005 had made it hard for the family to remain.
The head of the Kibbutz has tried to sway Bassi and his wife to stay.
