Beilin-led delegation to fly to China for talks

An Israeli delegation led by Meretz-Yahad Chairman Yossi Beilin and MK Colette Avital (Labor) are set to fly to China on Thursday for talks with Palestinian officials. The aim of the trip is to examine the proposals for securing a peace deal between Israelis and Palestinians. Members of the delegation told Israel Radio that the Chinese invitation was received now since China wanted to get involved with the push for Middle East peace ahead of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's planned trip to the region in January.
