A 16-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday night on suspicion of raping a 14-year-old girl.
The girl lodged a complaint Tuesday at the Beit She'an police station, claiming that the rape took place three months ago, when the two teens met at a friend's house. The accused, a resident of the north, claims that they entered into a consensual sexual relationship.
Later Wednesday the police will request the extension of the teen's remand at the Beit She'an Magistrate's Court.
