Labor leadership candidate Binyamin Ben-Eliezer petitioned the High Court of Justice on Monday, asking the Court to force Labor Secretary-General Eitan Cabel to allow 9600 Labor disqualified Labor members to appeal their disqualifications. The court gave Cabel until Wednesday to respond in writing to the petition and will decide by Thursday whether to hear the case. A Tel Aviv District Court judge ruled against Ben-Eliezer on Sunday and ordered him to pay the party NIS 31,500 for its court expenses.
