MK Yitzhak Levi (NU/NRP) proposed a bill on Wednesday that would call for any Knesset member who is served an indictment to be suspended from the Knesset.
According to the bill, the next member on the party's list would serve in the suspended member's place until he or she were proven innocent.
"The phenomenon [in which] Knesset members who have received indictments are busy with legal defenses and aren't showing up for work in the parliament has to stop," Levi said.
