Bill: Fire MKS who reject Jewish nature of state

The Knesset plenum approved Wednesday the preliminary reading of a bill submitted by MK Esterina Tartman (Israel Beiteinu), according to which a majority of 80 MKs (two thirds of the Knesset) could vote to dismiss any MK that rejected the nature of the state of Israel as being Jewish and democratic. Also according to the bill, MKs that incited racism or expressed support for armed aggression by an enemy country could be relieved of duty following a majority vote.
