A bill extending the maternity leave from 12 to 14 weeks was approved on Monday by the Knesset's Status of Women Committee for second and third reading.
The bill was initiated by MKs Gideon Sa'ar (Likud), Shelly Yacimovich (Labor), Nadia Hilu (Labor) and Dov Khenin (Hadash).
