Blair calls Olmert, hopes gov't will advance peace

British Prime Minister Tony Blair called Prime Minister-elect Ehud Olmert to congratulate him on his Tuesday victory. "We don't yet know the full results but obviously what we hope very much is that there emerges a government in Israel that is prepared to and able to take forward the process of peace and reconciliation," Blair told reporters during his short visit to New Zealand.
