Forty tons of stolen screws valued at approximately NIS 1.5 million, two stolen forklifts, and an "enormous"stolen generator were recovered by investigators from the Dekel Unit of the Southern District Border Police early Thursday morning.
The unit had received intelligence that lead detectives to Moshav Shtulim, where they conducted a search and found the stolen goods.
During a search of a warehouse on the moshav, the border police detectives identified two forklifts that had been stolen from the Petah Tikva area, as well as the generator.
In another warehouse, a semi-trailer was hidden, filled to the brim with the stolen screws. The screws had been stolen a month ago from the Haboreg Factory in Holon.
The factory owner was brought to the scene and identified the screws. He expressed his gratitude to the detectives and intelligence officers of the Southern District Border Police. Four suspects, residents of Kiryat Gat, Ashdod, Azrikam, and Gaza - all men in their 40s, were taken for questioning.
