Border police seriously injured by 'friendly fire'

A Border Policemen sustained serious injuries Wednesday evening when he was hit in the head by a stray bullet in an apparent incident of "friendly fire" near the Egyptian border.
The circumstances of the incident were not yet clear as the probe was ongoing, Army Radio reported.
The victim was treated by medics at the scene, and was then evacuated by helicopter to the Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba, where he remained in critical condition.
