A border policeman who was charged with killing a Palestinian was acquitted Wednesday at the Jerusalem District Court.
Shmuel Yehezkel was accused of killing a resident of the Kfar Issuyah neighborhood near Jerusalem.
However the court ruled that the shooting was a "reasonable" act, adding that "a string of errors led to the tragic result."
The incident occurred 18 months ago when a Border Police unit entered the village to arrest car thieves.
The court accepted Yehezkel's claims that while he and another border policeman were guarding a Palestinian man, who was suspected of attacking police officers, they were attacked by a rioting mob.
