A border policeman was lightly wounded overnight Thursday after an armed Palestinian threw a Molotov cocktail at him near the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron.
The Palestinian, who continued to approach the policeman despite being ordered to stop, was shot dead.
The policeman was evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem.
