An Israeli border police officer who shot dead an east
Jerusalem man during a routine arrest operation which turned violent last month will be charged with manslaughter, a Justice Ministry spokeswoman said Thursday.
The fatal November 9 shooting, which spurred a night of Arab rioting, was found to have been unjustified by a justice ministry investigation.
The paramilitary police officer, who has been
suspended from active duty, will be indicted this
month, following a personal hearing on the case, the ministry said.
