Caretaker suspected of murdering elderly ward commits suicide

A caretaker suspected of murdering her elderly ward committed suicide Thursday at a prison service medical center.
The 47-year-old immigrant from Moldova had previously confessed to murdering the 76-year-old woman last month following an argument between the two.
Following her suicide, the prison service said it would set up a committee to check how the woman - who had already attempted suicide once - had succeeded in killing herself while under the supervision of prison service officials.
