Cell phone call saves life of Beersheba man

A Magen David Adom (MDA) telephone operator's quick work was responsible for saving the life of a 40-year-old man who suffered a heart attack outside of Beersheba on Sunday. The man apparently felt unwell, and called MDA from his cell phone. But before he managed to give his information to the operator he collapsed and lost consciousness. The operator quickly contacted the man's cellular phone provider, who located the whereabouts of the man's phone signal. An ambulance was dispatched to the site where the man was believed to be, and medics found the caller unconscious in his vehicle, having suffered a cardiac incident. The man was rushed to Beersheba's Soroka Medical Center in serious but stable condition.
