Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, Tzahi Hanegbi showed support for IDF Chief of the General Staff, Lt. -Gen. Dan Halutz during Wednesday's meeting during which Knesset members were briefed on the past month's military operations in the North.
"I am personally hesitant to make judgments regarding the Chief of the General Staff's financial actions in the last couple of days," said the Chairman at the opening of the meeting.
"I am certain that other members of the committee share my views. There is a sense that instead of an Israeli culture, we have developed a culture similar to that of French Colonial Guillotine executors, making quick verdicts fashionable," Hangebi added.
