The Chairman of the German Bundestag (Parliament), Norbert Lammert, and the German ambassador to Israel, Harald Kindermann, met with the families of kidnapped IDF soldiers Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser in the Knesset Wednesday to discuss the fate of the soldiers.
Knesset Speaker Dalia Itzik, who hosted the meeting, urged Lammert to use Germany's participation in the UNIFIL forces in Lebanon to pressure groups there into securing information on the kidnapped soldiers.
