IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz almost dares someone to invite him to London.
He's even prepared to sit in jail to prove Israel is legitimate in its war on terrorism.
"I don't like the rain," Halutz quipped. "But if I am invited, I will go. I certainly won't steer clear... I'm not worried about going there."
Halutz rejected the concept of putting both past and serving Israeli officers on trial for alleged war crimes.
"Justice will win out in the end, even if you have to sit in jail for a day," Halutz said, adding that he was prepare "to stand up for truth and justice." "I believe wholeheartedly that we are supremely just in what we are doing and that all basic reason is on our side," he added.
He also blasted those behind the last month's attempt in Britain to have former OC Southern Command Maj.-Gen. Doron Almog arrested. Almog was forced to flee London upon arrival to avoid arrest.
The charges were made by British lawyer Daniel Machover, an Israeli living in England, acting on behalf of the Palestinian Center for Human Rights.
"Who is in London [threatening my freedom]? An Israeli who left the country, a yored [an Israeli living abroad]. He's going to preach morality to us? I despise him and those like him," Halutz said.
