City of Jerusalem lodges complaint against Google

The city of Jerusalem has lodged a complaint with the police against Google on the grounds that it portrays the city in a manner that damages its images in Israel and abroad, Army Radio reported Monday. The complaint was lodged after surfers who visited the Google Earth satellite imagery site reported that the city is listed as having been erected on the ruins of a Palestinian village whose inhabitants were expelled. The Jerusalem Municipality insists that the city was built by Holocaust survivors who arrived at a site that was barren at the time.
