An immigration police officer was transferred from his post after some of his men hit the wife of the Dominican Republic's ambassador earlier this week, thinking she was a foreign worker. He was moved to another position in the Tel Aviv District.
The same officer was also involved in a raid at a Tel Hashomer clinic that aroused much criticism of the immigration police and its commanders.
The police said that when the investigation of the ambassador's wife incident is finished at the Police Investigation Department, they will decide what steps to take against other members of the immigration police.
