Court extends Alperon's remand by eight days

The Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court extended Ya'acov Alperon's remand by an additional eight days on Tuesday. He was detained under the suspicion of stabbing underworld figure Amir Mulner at a Herzliya hotel three weeks ago. The judge said that there was "more than a reasonable basis" to suspect Alperon had committed the crime, since he went into hiding immediately after the stabbing. Alperon turned himself into the police on Monday, his son, Dror, who is also suspected in involvement in the attack is still at large.
