Court revokes Perinian related plea bargain

In an unusual move the Tel Aviv District Court revoked the plea bargain signed with Eran Hiya and Gadi Hazan, involved in the murder of policeman Tzachi Ben-Or. The plea bargain stipulated that the murder charges against Hazan and Hiya would be struck when the two pleaded guilty on drastically reduced terms. The court decided that the two should be judged harshly for murdering the would-be state witness in Mexico. Hiya was sentenced to serve 13 years in prison and Hazan would be imprisoned for six years. The attorneys of both defendants said they would appeal the court's decision.
