Court: Rosenstein extradition order still valid

The Jerusalem District Court denied a request to cancel the extradition of underworld kingpin Ze'ev Rosenstein to the United States. His attorney had claimed that the legal time limit for extraditing Rosenstein had expired, but Judge Moshe Drori rejected the claim, Army Radio reported. About two months ago, Rosenstein was approved for extradition. His lawyer said that since over 60 days have passed since the Supreme Court decision, it became null. The Court ruled that it was too early to start counting the days, legally, based on when the ruling would be finalized. About a week ago, the Supreme Court rejected Rosenstein's request to hold another hearing on the issue. Rosenstein is wanted in the US for involvement in international drug deal.
