Danny Yatom: Hamas leaders on Israeli hit list

Former Mossad chief MK Danny Yatom (Labor) said Friday that Hamas Cabinet ministers could be the targets of Israeli assassination efforts, as well as the newly appointed head of a Hamas-controlled Palestinian security force. Yatom told Army Radio that Popular Resistance Committees head Jamal Abu Samhadana remained a legitimate Israeli target after his appointment to head a new Palestinian paramilitary police force, along with Hamas ministers in the Palestinian cabinet. "I understand that our sights are also trained on Hamas ministers, not only on the police chief," said Yatom. "Nobody who deals with terror can have immunity by any means, even if he holds a ministerial portfolio in the Hamas government."
