Despite bribery allegations, former envoy to get top ministerial post

Jewish community leaders in Hungary protested the Pensioners Affairs Ministry's plan to appoint former Israeli ambassador to Hungary David Admon, who is suspected of bribery, as special advisor for the return of Jewish possessions in Hungary and the surrounding countries, Channel 2 reported on Wednesday. Admon allegedly used his position to carry out private business ventures in Hungary and to open doors for his son and Israeli businesspeople in exchange for money.
