Dichter expresses doubt about Ramon appointment

Public Security Minister Avi Dichter believes it would have been better to wait a longer time before giving MK Haim Ramon a cabinet post. Dichter said that it was not right for a minister convicted of a criminal act be allowed to join the government a few months later, and added that he would try to convince the prime minister to change his mind. When asked about the plea bargain offered former president Moshe Katsav, Dichter said he trusted Attorney-General Menahem Mazuz's judgement.
