Dignitaries arriving for Rabin 10th memorial

Foreign dignitaries from around the globe, including Jordan's King Abdullah II, former US President William J. Clinton, and US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, are arriving in Israel this weekend to participate in events marking the tenth anniversary of the assassination of former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. On Saturday, Clinton will address a rally in Rabin Square, along with Vice Premier Shimon Peres and musicians such as David Broza and Aviv Gefen. On Sunday, Rice will deliver a policy address at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem. She also plans to meet with Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas on Monday. Also on Monday, there will be a memorial event at the Mt. Herzl Military Cemetery in Jerusalem, and another at the Knesset. It will be followed by an event at the Rabin Center in Tel Aviv that will include Abdullah and Sharon. Also expected to attend are former Secretary of State James Baker, Senator Hillary Clinton (D-New York), the Prime Ministers of Italy and Ethiopia, as well as the European Union's foreign policy chief Javier Solana.
