Doctors at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem began emergency surgery on Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to restore the flow of blood to his stomach at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
The operation was expected to last between three and six hours, hospital officials said.
