Doctors were expected to completely stop the flow of anesthetics to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on Wednesday, if his condition continues unchanged. Only after the drugs clear his system approximately 36 hours later, could responses like speech and opening of Sharon's eyes be truly assessed. The medical team caring for the prime minister began to scale down his anesthetic doses Tuesday in order to remove him from his medically induced coma.
