A moderate earthquake registering a magnitude of 4.8 rattled the Tokyo area early Tuesday. No injuries were immediately reported.
The quake occurred 80 kilometers underground southwest of Tokyo and was also felt in dozens of other cities.
The quake shook buildings in the capital but was not strong enough to cause any damage.
