Maj.-Gen. (res.) Giora Eiland is to step down "in the coming weeks" as head of the National Security Council, Channel 2 reported Saturday night.
The television station gave no reason for the change or source for the report, saying only that Eiland would be replaced by Ilan Mizrahi, former deputy-director of the Mossad.
