Eini: Strike lasted a month more than it should have

The high school teachers' strike lasted a month more than it should have, Histadrut Labor Federation chairman Ofer Eini said Thursday morning after the government and the Secondary School Teachers' Union (SSTO) announced that they had reached an agreement to end the 65-day strike.
Eini congratulated the sides on having accepted his proposed agreement, but said that the offer had been laid on the table "long ago," and much suffering could have been prevented if it had been accepted beforehand.
