Families of fallen soldiers gather by PM's office

Representatives for the families of soldiers fallen in the Second Lebanon War gathered on Tuesday in front of the Prime Minister's office in Jerusalem, Israel Radio reported. The families reportedly requested to present to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert findings from independent investigations they themselves conducted into the circumstances leading up to their sons' deaths in the summer's fighting with Hizbullah. According to the report, the families were also demonstrating their frustration for allegedly being denied access to the findings of IDF investigations, access they said was promised them by the government following the war. Olmert had reportedly agreed to meet with each of the families separately, but refused meetings with the representative of their organization, Israel Radio said.
