Far-right youth to burn images of gov't officials

Ultra-right-wing youth activists from the Jewish National Vision movement are planning on burning photos of government ministers, including the prime minister, in bonfires Monday night, which is also Lag Ba'Omer. The youths are burning the images as a protest against the disengagement from Gaza. Lag Ba'Omer, a Jewish holiday on which it has become traditional in Israel to build bonfires, commemorates the victory of an ancient revolt against Roman rulers. Photos of Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, former prime minister Ariel Sharon, Hamas leader Muhammad Abu-Tir, and former Interior Minister Gidon Ezra, who headed the police during disengagement, will also be burnt, Army Radio reported.
