Ehud Barak won the first round of the Labor primry elections, having won 35.7 percent of party members' votes, following a count of 99.7% of polling stations.
Ami Ayalon is the candidate who will face Barak in the second round, having won 30.7%. Current defense minister and exiting Labor leader Amir Peretz won 22.3%.
MKs Ophir Paz Pines and Danny Yatom won 8% and 2.7%, respectively.
0.7% of party members abstained. 65% of registered party members voted.
