As students were preparing to sit the first exam of the second semester at Sapir College, the Color Red rocket alarm sounded throughout Sderot and other western Negev towns. Three of five Kassam rockets fired into Israel from the Gaza Strip landed close to the college, with one rocket hitting a building undergoing construction. Two rockets landed in open areas. No casualties were reported, but the building sustained damages. Al-Quds Brigades, the Islamic Jihad's armed wing, claimed responsibility for the attack. On Sunday afternoon, Palestinians fired four mortars from the Gaza Strip into Israel. No casualties or damages were reported. Overnight, the IDF arrested two terror suspects in Ramallah, including a woman affiliated with Hamas and another Islamic Jihad operative. The suspects were transferred to security forces for interrogation. Shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday, a Kassam rocket was fired into an open area in the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council. No casualties or damage were reported. Hamas claimed responsibility for Saturday's attack.
