Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni on Wednesday denied reports claiming that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's convergence plan was set to begin within six months.
Referring to Olmert's speech on Tuesday, Livni said it only referred to the route of Israel's final borders, but not to the timeframe during which the withdrawal would take place.
Earlier, Justice Minister Haim Ramon told Army Radio that the government would give the Hamas-led Palestinian Authority until the end of the year to negotiate, but after that Israel would take matters into its own hands.
