Meretz faction chairwoman MK Zehava Gal-on called on Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to order security forces to produce a list of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails that could be released.
Gal-on said that producing such a list could signal Israel was willing to negotiate over the release of kidnapped IDF soldier Cpl. Gilad Shalit.
A political freeze and a military escalation, she added, would not lead to Shalit's release.
